Abstract:
A phenol derivative represented by general formula (I) and its salt, wherein X represents C1 to C4 alkyl or C1 to C4 alkoxy; Y represents hydrogen or C1 to C4 alkoxy; and A represents C1 to C4 alkylene, etc. These compounds have an action of inhibiting ACAT and the formation of lipid peroxide and are useful as a remedy for arteriosclerosis.
