Abstract:
Disclosed are a phone number translation method and apparatus, falling within the field of information technology. The phone number translation method comprises: when an incoming call is received, detecting whether contact information about an incoming call number is stored in an address book; when it is detected that the contact information about the incoming call number is not stored in an address book, searching for a short message including the incoming call number in short message contents; identifying pre-determined-type information from the short message contents; and on a display interface of the incoming call, displaying name information as the contact information about the incoming call number. The present disclosure solves the problem that with regard to an incoming call with an incoming call number or contact information about the incoming call number not being stored, an incoming call interface of a call device can only display the incoming call number, thus resulting in that a user holding the call device cannot learn contact information about the incoming call; and achieves the effect of automatically displaying contact information about a phone number on an incoming call interface with regard to an incoming call with an incoming call number or the contact information about the incoming call number is not stored.
