Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for producing aromatic and heteroaromatic aldehydes by reacting halogen-substituted aromatics or heteroaromatics with CO and H2 in the presence of a palladium catalyst, where the reaction takes place in the presence of a base, a palladium compound and phosphinite or amidophosphinite ligands. Furthermore, the invention relates to novel amidophosphinites and also palladium catalysts which are produced by reacting a palladium compound with phosphinite or amidophosphinite ligands.
