Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a phosphor-containing film which exhibits excellent adhesion between a substrate film and a phosphor-containing layer that discretely comprises phosphor-containing regions in a resin layer; and a backlight unit which uses this phosphor-containing film. The problem is solved by a phosphor-containing film which is configured to comprise a phosphor-containing layer having a resin layer that is provided with discrete recesses and a fluorescent material that is filled into the recesses, a first substrate film laminated on the bottom side of the recesses of the resin layer, and a second substrate film laminated on the other surface of the resin layer, and which is also configured such that: the fluorescent material contains a phosphor and a binder; and at least some of the walls that form the recesses have the second substrate film-side ends apart from the second substrate film, with the fluorescent material being interposed between the second substrate film-side ends and the second substrate film.
