Abstract:
In order to provide a phosphor layer composition that can increase heat dissipation of the phosphor layer and improve the light extraction efficiency, this phosphor layer composition comprises inorganic phosphor particles that absorb excitation light and emit light in a prescribed wavelength region, and a matrix filled around the inorganic phosphor particles and formed from polymers having a cationic group derived from an ionic liquid. By this means, because the ionic liquid has high wettability on the inorganic phosphor surface, the ionic liquid can increase the contact surface area between the inorganic phosphor particles and can improve heat dissipation of the phosphor layer. Further, the light extraction efficiency improves because the matrix is thinner and the surface thicker.
