Abstract:
The present invention reduces the attenuation of generated fluorescent light and improves the fluorescent light output of a phosphor member. This phosphor member includes a substrate and a phosphor film that is arranged on the substrate and that comprises phosphor particles for converting excitation light into fluorescent light. The phosphor film includes a substrate-side surface positioned on the substrate side and an excitation light incidence surface that is positioned on the opposite side from the substrate-side surface and on which excitation light is incident. An inclined surface inclined toward the substrate-side surface is formed on the excitation light incidence surface.
