Abstract:
A phosphor having its charge amount regulated to near zero, and a plasma display unit being prevented from deteriorations in luminance, color temperature and discharge characteristics. A compound for regulating a charge amount is deposited and applied onto particle surfaces on an electrified phosphor with a strong chemical bond, and the charge amount of the phosphor is set to within ± 0.01 μC/g to prevent the adsorption of an impure gas deposited on phosphor particles at driving, whereby important problems with a plasma display unit such a luminance deterioration of the phosphor, color misregistering at panel driving, and luminance deterioration at total white displaying are prevented.
