Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention is a phosphor powder comprising α-type sialon phosphor particles containing Eu. In the phosphor powder, the ammonium ion concentration CA determined from the extracted ion analysis below is 15 ppm to 100 ppm. (Extracted ion analysis A) The phosphor powder (0.5 g) was added to 25 mL of distilled water in a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) container having a lid and maintained at 60°C for 24 hours, after which the total mass MA of ammonium ions included in an aqueous solution obtained by removing the solid content by filtration was determined using ion chromatography. The value of CA is determined by dividing MA by the mass of the phosphor powder.
