Abstract:
A phosphor thin film enabling high luminance, dispensing with a filter because of good color purity, achieving a long luminance life, and especially suitable for the RGB elements of a full-color EL panel. The phosphor thin film contains a host material and luminescence centers. The host material is an oxy sulfide that at least contains a alkaline earth element, Ga and/or In, and sulfur (S) and may further contain Al. Or an oxy sulfide that contains the above elements and further oxygen (O). The atomic ratio B/A of the host material is B/A = 2.1 to 3.5 Where A is an alkaline earth and B is Ga, In, and Al.
