Abstract:
The present invention achieves a phosphor wheel which is capable of improving productivity and yield. This phosphor wheel is obtained by providing a phosphor on a rotatable substrate. The phosphor is formed from a plurality of small pieces (801, 802). The small pieces (801, 802) are arranged such that the phosphor has a ring shape having the rotational axis of the substrate at the centre, or a shape obtained by cutting off a portion of the ring shape.
