Abstract:
The present invention achieves a phosphor wheel which is capable of improving productivity and yield. This phosphor wheel is obtained by providing a phosphor (1103) on a rotatable substrate (1101). The phosphor is formed from a plurality of small pieces. The small pieces are arranged such that the phosphor has a ring shape having the rotational axis of the substrate at the centre, or a shape obtained by cutting off a portion of the ring shape.
