Abstract:
An RFID tag to which predetermined information is written in advance is added to a refill liquid cartridge, and the information is read from the RFID tag when the refill liquid cartridge is loaded in a photo processing device. Whether or not a loaded cartridge is a genuine product is determined based on whether predetermined information is in the tag. When it is determined, based on whether the predetermined information is in the tag, that the loaded cartridge is not a genuine product, processing speed (conveyance speed of photo printing paper) is reduced from normal level and at the same time the quantity of a refill agent to be refilled in a processing container is increased from a normal level. This avoids significant reduction in photo processing performance and enables non-genuine refill liquid cartridges to be also used.
