Abstract:
The laser light source unit emits pulsed laser light in a selected wavelength series. A Q switch (55) and a birefringent filter (56) are inserted in an optical resonator, which comprises a pair of mirrors (53, 54) that face each other with a laser rod (51) therebetween. With rotational displacement of the birefringent filter (56), the filter changes the emission wavelength of the optical resonator. The trigger control circuit (30) rotates the birefringent filter (56) at a specified rotation rate corresponding to the number of wavelengths included in the pulsed laser light wavelength series to be emitted. After excitation light is emitted from the flash lamp (52) on the laser rod (51), the trigger control circuit (30) emits pulsed laser light by switching on the Q switch (55) with the timing with which the position of rotational displacement of the birefringent filter (56) matches the position corresponding to the wavelength of the pulsed laser light to be emitted.
