Abstract:
Provided is a photoacoustic measurement device whereby even a single failure state can be appropriately detected, and it can be ensured that operation in the single failure state is not continued. The present invention is provided with: a laser light source having a flash lamp (52) and a laser medium; an excitation light source power source unit (59) having a capacitor (30) for supplying a charged voltage to the flash lamp (52), a charging circuit (36) for charging the capacitor (30), a first-system voltage divider circuit (31) and a second-system voltage divider circuit (32) for dividing the voltage charged to the capacitor (30), and a failure detection unit (35) for comparing the voltages divided by the respective first and second-system voltage divider circuits (31), (32) and detecting a failure; and a photoacoustic wave detection unit for detecting a photoacoustic wave generated in a subject by illumination of the subject with light emitted from the laser light source.
