Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a photochromic member with a novel structure that exhibits photochromism having a gradation color under ultraviolet radiation, and can be used for eyeglasses or the like. Provided is a photochromic member (11) for an eyeglass lens, sunglasses and the like, having a photochromic layer (13) made of organic glass or inorganic glass containing a photochromic dye, wherein the photochromic member includes a tapering part in which ultraviolet absorbance of the photochromic layer (13) gradually decreases on the planar surface. Thus, the photochromic member (11) exhibits photochromism having a gradation color under ultraviolet radiation.
