Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: a plurality of first optical fibers (3); an optical combiner (10) connected, at one end surface thereof, to one end surface of each of the first optical fibers (3); a second optical fiber (5) connected, at one end surface thereof, to the other end surface of the optical combiner (10); a first photodetector (21) that detects the intensity of light propagating through at least one first optical fiber (3); a second photodetector (22) that detects Rayleigh scattering of light propagating through the second optical fiber (5); and a calculation unit that calculates the intensity of the light propagating through the first optical fiber (3) or the second optical fiber (5) in a prescribed direction, on the basis of the detection result of the first photodetector (21) and the detection result of the second photodetector (22).
