Abstract:
Provided is a photoelectric conversion element having a uniform crystal selenium with few peeling regions. The photoelectric conversion element comprises a first electrode (411), a second electrode (415), and a photoelectric conversion layer (413) provided between the first electrode (411) and the second electrode (415). The photoelectric conversion layer (413) comprises selenium and element X, element X being at least one selected from silver and bismuth. The photoelectric conversion layer (413) has a ratio (X/Se) of the number of atoms of element X to the number of atoms of selenium in the region of 0.0010-0.70.
