The photoelectric conversion element according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with: a first electrode; a second electrode disposed so as to face the first electrode; and an organic photoelectric conversion layer provided between the first electrode and the second electrode, the organic photoelectric conversion layer including one organic semiconductor material and having, in a horizontal cross-section, at least one domain (D1, D2, D3) formed by the one organic semiconductor material.
