Abstract:
Provided are: a photoelectric conversion element material that is for imaging and that achieves a high sensitivity and a high resolution; and a photoelectric conversion element for imaging. This photoelectric conversion element material is represented by general formula (1) or (2). Further, this photoelectric conversion element is for imaging, has an electron blocking layer and a photoelectric conversion layer between two electrodes, and includes the material in at least one of said layers. Each ring E independently represents a heterocyclic ring that is represented by formula (1a) and that is fused with an adjacent ring at an arbitrarily defined site. Ar1, Ar2, Ar5, and Ar6 each independently represent a diaryl amino group having 12-30 carbon atoms, an aryl heteroaryl amino group having 12-30 carbon atoms, a diheteroaryl amino group having 12-30 carbon atoms, an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6-30 carbon atoms, or a heterocyclic aromatic group having 4-18 carbon atoms. At least one of Ar1, Ar2, Ar5, or Ar6 is said amino group or further has said amino group annealed thereto.
