Abstract:
A photoelectric conversion element comprising a semiconductor and a dye represented by formula (1) or (2); a dye-sensitized solar cell; a liquid dye-adsorption composition for said solar cell; and a method for manufacturing said solar cell. Formula (1): M(L1)(L2)(L3)mL1(X)mX∙(Y)mY Formula (2): M(L1)(L3)mL2(X)mX∙(Y)mY (In the formulas, M represents Fe2+, Ru2+, or Os2+; L1 represents a ligand with a denticity of two to four that has an acidic group and a nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocycle skeleton; L2 represents a silicon or phosphorus bidentate or tridentate ligand in which the ligand atom has no unsaturated bonds; L3 represents a silicon, phosphorus, or sulfur monodentate ligand in which the ligand atom has no unsaturated bonds; X represents a monodentate or bidentate ligand; Y represents a counterion that neutralizes the electric charge; mL1 represents a number from 0 to 2; mL2 represents a number from 2 to 4; mX represents a number from 0 to 3; and mY represents a number from 0 to 2.)
