Abstract:
Provided are: a photoelectric conversion element that includes a first electrode that has, on a conductive support, a photosensitive layer including a light absorbing agent, wherein the light absorbing agent includes a compound that has a perovskite type crystal structure including an organic cation represented by formulae (1) and (2), a cation of a metal atom, and an anion; and a solar battery having said photoelectric conversion element. Formula (1): C(R1)(R2)(R3)-N(R1a)3 +. Formula (2): R4-NR2a 3 +. Wherein, R1, R2, R3, and R4 represent specific substituents which may be different from each other, and R1a and R2a each represent a hydrogen atom or a specific substituent.
