Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the generated current in a photoelectric conversion element that does not use a transparent conductive film as the light-receiving surface. This photoelectric conversion element is provided with a translucent support body (1), porous semiconductor layers (2, 3) containing semiconductor particles and a photosensitizing element, a conductive layer (4), and a counter electrode (6), in that order, wherein the porous semiconductor layers (2, 3) and the conductive layer (4) contain a carrier transport material. The porous semiconductor layers (2, 3) comprise at least two layers containing semiconductor particles of different diameters. Of the layers configuring the porous semiconductor layers (2, 3), the average particle diameter of the semiconductor particles contained in the layer (3) positioned nearest the counter electrode is 380nm or less.
