Abstract:
Disclosed is a photoelectric conversion element provided with at least one photoelectric conversion cell. The photoelectric conversion cell is provided with an electrode substrate, a counter substrate facing the electrode substrate, an oxide semiconductor layer provided on the electrode substrate, an electrolyte provided between the electrode substrate and the counter substrate, and an annular sealing part for joining the electrode substrate and the counter substrate. The oxide semiconductor layer has: a body part provided on the electrode substrate and on the inside of the sealing part so as to extend in a straight line from the electrode substrate towards the counter substrate; and a protruding part protruding from the body part towards the sealing part, the protruding part not being in contact with the electrode substrate. In a cross-section along the thickness direction of the oxide semiconductor layer, a second face of the oxide semiconductor layer, which is on the counter substrate side, has a greater width than a first face, which is the boundary face between the oxide semiconductor layer and the electrode substrate.
