Abstract:
Provided are a photoelectric functional crystal M3RE(PO4)3, a preparation method therefor, and an application thereof. The crystal has a non-centrosymmetric structure and belongs to the cubic system -43m point group, M is an alkaline earth metal, and RE is a rare earth element, the alkaline earth metal is Ba, Ca, or Sr, and the rare earth element is Y, La, Gd, or Yb. The method for growing the M3RE(PO4)3 crystal comprises: (1) synthesizing a polycrystalline material, by using a stoichiometric ratio of MCO3, RE2O3, and a phosphorus-containing compound, where there is an excess of the phosphorus-containing compound, and sintering the raw materials twice to obtain an M3RE(PO4)3 polycrystalline material; (2) melting the polycrystalline material; and (3) growing the crystal by using a pulling method. The prepared M3RE(PO4)3 crystal is a high-quality single crystal, which has a high optical transmittance and wide absorption edges, and also has no phase change from room temperature to melting point, does not deliquesce, and has piezoelectric activity and nonlinear frequency conversion characteristics.
