Abstract:
A photoelectric-surface electron source 1 includes: a glass substrate 40 that receives laser light 101 from a substrate light-receiving surface 50a including microlenses 41 and that focuses the laser light 101 toward a substrate main surface 43 located on the opposite side from the substrate light-receiving surface 50a; a photoelectric surface 50 that is provided to the substrate main surface 43, and that receives the focused laser light 101 and emits photoelectrons 102; and an extraction electrode 60 that is fixed to the substrate main surface 43 and that extracts the photoelectrons 102 from the photoelectric surface 50. The extraction electrode 60 is disposed away from the photoelectric surface 50 along the normal direction N of the substrate main surface 43 and has: an electrode part 62 in which electrode holes 62H for allowing the photoelectrons 102 to pass therethrough are provided; and a frame part 61 that is fixed to a region surrounding the photoelectric surface 50 in the substrate main surface 43.
