Abstract:
A photoelectrochemical cell which comprises a light-receiving electrode comprising a semiconductor layer in which a photosensitizing pigment is adsorbed, a counter electrode and an electrolyte layer provided between the light-receiving electrode and the counter electrode, wherein the light-receiving electrode contains a visible light- or infrared ray-absorbing compound and semiconductor microparticles sensitized thereby.
