Abstract:
A photographing device is provided which, by strictly performing identity verification, makes it possible to realize electronic applications. By means of a reading device 31, a camera 23, an IC card reader, etc., this photographing device 1 reads certificate information on an applicant's ID card (the identity verification medium) or data on an IC chip. An image for use in the application, which is a photograph used in an application procedure, is captured by the camera 23. A control unit 101 (a same-person determination unit B408) of the photographing device 1 compares certificate information read from the ID card or an image of the person contained in the IC chip with the captured image for use in the application, and determines whether or not is it the same person. Further, the control unit 101 (an authenticity determination unit 402) determines authenticity of the ID card on the basis of information read from the ID card.
