Abstract:
A photon detection system, relating to the field of quantum optics, and solving the issue of high cost arising from the use of multiple SPDs in single photon detection. The photon detection system comprises: a first switch module (021), comprising a first port and a second port, wherein the first switch module (021) is used to configure the first port to communicate with a detection module (022), and to configure the second port not to communicate with the detection module (022); the detection module (022) is used to send a first signal to a control module (023) if a first photon is detected; the control module (023) is used to send a second signal to the first switch module (021) when the first signal is received; and the first switch module (021) is used to configure, when the second signal is received, the second port to communicate with the detection module (022), such that the detection module (022) detects a second photon. The embodiment of the present application can be applied to detection of photons in a quantum optical system.
