Abstract:
A photon measurement frontend circuit (100) comprises one or more sensor cell sets having a one-to-one correspondence with one or more signal processing circuits (110) and a main processing circuit (120). Each of the one or more signal processing circuits (110) comprises one or more preceding stage processing circuits (111) having a one-to-one correspondence with the one or more sensor cell sets and a subsequent stage processing circuit (112). Each of the one or more preceding stage processing circuits (111) is configured to receive an initial current signal from a corresponding sensor cell, and output a pulse current signal when an amplitude of the initial current signal exceeds a current threshold. The subsequent stage processing circuit (112) is configured to process each of pulse current signals from the one or more preceding stage processing circuits (111) to generate an output signal. The main processing circuit (120) is configured to measure, according to an output signal from each of subsequent stage processing circuits (112) in the one or more signal processing circuits (110), photons detected by the one or more sensor cell sets. The embodiment provides a simple circuit, and is easy to expand into a matrix.
