Abstract:
A design method for a photonic crystal superprism with ultra-high resolution, comprising the following steps: S1: selecting a dielectric material, and determining a structure type and a structure parameter of a photonic crystal; S2: acquiring an equifrequency graph of the photonic crystal, and searching for a self-collimation region; S3: obtaining the group velocity distribution of various points in the equifrequency graph, and searching for a low group velocity region; S4: optimizing the structure parameter of the photonic crystal so as to enable the self-collimation region in the equifrequency graph of the photonic crystal to coincide with the low group velocity region as far as possible, and determining the coincidence region as a working region; and S5: obtaining an equal incident angle line and rotating the photonic crystal so as to enable the equal incident angle line to intersect with the working region, and selecting an appropriate incident angle from the points of intersection to complete the design of a photonic crystal superprism. When light is incident at the incident angle above, the photonic crystal is very sensitive to the frequency of light, so that light of different frequencies can be obviously separated. The photonic crystal superprism has the advantages of good integration and wide scope of application, and has an important practical value.
