Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a photosensitive composition for volume hologram recording which forms volume hologram layers showing a high refraction index modulation initially and after high-temperature storage. This purpose is achieved by providing a photosensitive composition for volume hologram recording containing a photopolymerizable monomer, a photopolymerization initiator, a sensitizing dye which sensitizes the photopolymerization initiator, and a binder resin, and characterized in that the binder resin is a thermoplastic resin and a thermosetting resin, wherein the thermoplastic resin contains polyacrylic acid ester, the weight average molecular weight of the thermoplastic resin is in the range 50,000-150,000, and the mixing ratio by weight of the thermoplastic resin and the thermosetting resin (thermoplastic resin / thermosetting resin) is in the range 50/50-90/10.
