Abstract:
A photosensitive lithographic printing plate material that in high-resolution printing like FM screening, ensures excellent plate life and tone reproducing capability; and a method of image forming on the photosensitive lithographic printing plate material. The photosensitive lithographic printing plate material is characterized in that a photosensitive layer containing a photosensitive composition containing at least a compound having an ethylenic double bond capable of addition polymerization, a bisimidazole compound as photopolymerization initiator, a polymer binder and a photosensitizing dye is superimposed on a support obtained by subjecting one surface of aluminum sheet to at least (1) electrochemical roughening treatment in an aqueous nitric acid solution, (2) electrochemical roughening treatment in an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution and (3) anodic oxidation treatment.
