Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a water-insoluble phthalocyanine pigment having antibacterial or antiviral effect, and an ink, a printed matter, a paint, a coating, a plastic material, a fiber, a film, a cosmetic, etc., each characterized by containing the pigment. A specific phthalocyanine pigment which is a water-insoluble pigment but yet has antibacterial or antiviral effect. Further, this phthalocyanine pigment is a pigment and, therefore, significantly superior in performance relating to heat resistance and light resistance to dye-based antibacterial colorants. Furthermore, this phthalocyanine pigment is a pigment and, therefore, has antibacterial or antiviral effect in applications such as an ink, a printed matter, a paint, a coating, a plastic material, a fiber, a film and a cosmetic, thus solving the above problem.
