Title:
PHTODETECTION DEVICE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, OPTICAL MODULE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/068951
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A photodetection device which detects an optical signal by a plurality of photodetection units for stabilizing a wavelength, wherein current amounts and their ratios from respective photodetection units are allowed to fall within desired ranges. The photodetection device comprises a first photodetection unit (51) having a first small photodetector (110) and a first large photodetector (111) that receive an incident light, for detecting the optical output of the incident light, a second photodetection unit (52) having a second photodetector (113) that receives an incident light, for detecting the wavelength of the incident light, an etalon (112) provided on the light path of a light incident to the second photodetection unit (52), for transmitting the incident light, and a plurality of Au wires respectively connected with respective photodetectors (110, 111) of the first photodetection unit (51) and the photodetector (113) of the second photodetection unit (52). The plurality of Au wires are selectively connected or disconnected according to the intensities of lights incident to the first and second photodetection units (51, 52).
