Abstract:
Provided are a physical-chemical complex retardant for controlling the spontaneous combustion of low-rank coal, a preparation method therefor, and the use thereof. The complex retardant consists of a chelate and attapulgite, wherein the chelate is produced by means of the chelation of procyanidine and calcium chloride. The complex retardant has moisture absorbing and maintaining effects, and is capable of slowing the loss of moisture at low temperatures and producing isolating layers of oxides such as MgO and Al2O3 at high temperatures, wherein the isolating layers have a better stability and can block contact between a coal body and oxygen. Furthermore, the complex retardant can capture hydroxyl free radicals generated during a chain cycle reaction and destroy peroxide free radicals, and can also react with active structures in coal to produce stable structures such as ether linkage and hydrogen bond structures, thereby achieving persistent retardation for low-rank coal.
