Abstract:
A physical method for regulating molecular transport in a brain extracellular space. The method comprises: applying an external pressure to brain tissue of an animal, wherein the rhythm of applying the external pressure is related to the automatic rhythmicity of the animal. An apparatus for regulating molecular transport in a brain extracellular space. The apparatus comprises a detection mechanism (10), a pressurization mechanism (30) and a control mechanism (50), wherein the detection mechanism (10) can detect the automatic rhythmicity of an animal; the pressurization mechanism (30) can apply an external pressure to brain tissue of the animal; and the control mechanism (50) can control the pressurization mechanism (30) according to a detection result of the detection mechanism (10), such that the rhythm of applying the external pressure by the pressurization mechanism (30) is related to the automatic rhythmicity of the animal. The method and the apparatus can effectively regulate molecular transport in a brain extracellular space.
