Title:
PHYSICAL OBJECT BASED INDOOR NAVIGATION USING BEACON
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/220185
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Here location of a station in a wireless network consisting of different wireless access points is detected. One or more physical objects having a location proximate to the station are identified and can be indicated to the wireless user. For the above we have a map for all physical objects consisting of the object identifier of the unique physical object as the key and the BSSID of the beacon as the value. The associated Beacon then transmits the nearby physical objects to the wireless user and the wireless user chooses a physical object for help in navigating to get closer to it. Beacon then sends navigation instructions to get to the physical object from the current location of the wireless user.

Following is the claim for this invention: -

1. In this invention we provide physical object based indoor navigation

using beacons. Here location of a station in a wireless network consisting of different wireless access points is detected. One or more physical objects having a location proximate to the station are identified and can be indicated to the wireless user. For the above we have a map for all physical objects consisting of the object identifier of the unique physical object as the key and the BSSID (Basic Service Set Identification) of the beacon as the value. The associated Beacon then transmits the nearby physical objects to the wireless user and the wireless user chooses a physical object for help in navigating to get closer to it. Beacon then sends navigation instructions to get to the physical object from the current location of the wireless user. The above novel technique of providing physical object based indoor navigation using beacons is the claim for this invention.
