Description:
PHYSIOTHERAPEUTIC TABLE

Technical Field

The invention belongs to the area of physiotherapy and is intended for massage together with usage of infrared radiation, and it can be used as an auxiliary measure in therapy of some simple diseases or for strengthening of health.

Background Art

A physiotherapeutic table is known, intended for manual acupuncture, having a tabletop, a source of infrared radiation and a layer of a natural material, radiated using the abovementioned infrared radiation. The natural material used is minerals, such as granite porphyry, black silicon, radium ore or tourmaline ore, etc., also soil or clay. When exposed to infrared radiation, these materials release ions, the energy of which makes positive impact on reflex points of the human body having the manual acupuncture massage on the table. See application JP2006280894.

A shortcoming of this table is insufficient positive impact on human body as made by the radiated natural materials, since when exposed to infrared radiation, these materials can release unpleasant smell and thereby have a negative impact on the patient.

Disclosure of Invention

The purpose of the suggested invention is to strengthen the physiotherapeutic impact on human body. The purpose is achieved, when in the known table, having a tabletop, a source of infrared radiation and a layer of natural material, exposed to the said infrared radiation, the said natural material is amber, containing algae, making a layer covering the upper side of the tabletop, the tabletop is made of material conductive to heat and light, and the source of infrared radiation is installed under lower side of the tabletop. The range of length of electromagnetic waves emitted by the source of infrared radiation is 2 ÷ 25 μm.

On both sides of the source of infrared radiation, there is a source of visible light - luminescent lamps. The complex and inter-complement impact of the infrared radiation and light, also of the ions emitted by the amber with algae as exposed to these radiations, is especially strengthened by means of synchronous massage, since the cells released by the massage allow better penetration of electromagnetic waves.

Brief Description of Drawings

The invention is explained in drawings, where: Fig. 1 is a general perspective view of the table; Fig. 2 is a board with attached sources of infrared radiation and visible light;

Fig. 3 is a perspective view of turned upside-down table with attached board as shown in Fig. 3.

Mode for Carrying out the Invention

The suggested physiotherapeutic table (Fig. 1 ) consists of the tabletop 1 and the wooden frame 2, to which the top 1 and the legs 3 are attached. The tabletop 1 consists of the wooden frame 4 and the panel 5, made of transparent and heat-conductive material (such as special glass unit or plastic), capable to hold significant weight of human body and to withstand shocks. The upper side of the panel 5 is covered with the layer 6 of amber, made of plates of amber containing algae, glued to the panel 5 using special glue, which is transparent and heat-conductive. Edges of the panel 5 are fastened in wooden frame 4. Under the lower side of the panel 5 of the tabletop 1 (Fig. 3), there is the source 7 of infrared radiation, namely ceramic heater (Fig. 2) widely used in saunas, with the range of length of electromagnetic waves 2-25 μrn, and the source of visible light, such as the luminescent lamps 8, installed on both sides of the source 7 of infrared radiation. The source 7 of infrared radiation has the reflector 9 made of heat-reflecting material. The source 7 of infrared radiation with the reflector 9 and luminescent lamps 8 are attached to the wooden base 10 so, that the sources of radiation 7 and of visible light 8 are turned towards tabletop 1. The wooden frame 2 of the table and the frame 4 of the tabletop 1 can be impregnated with amber oil and covered with amber varnish. Amber, containing algae, formed 50 million years ago, shall be used for covering the surface of the tabletop 1.

Wooden parts of the table shall be made of hard wood, such as oak or Indian hardwood. Before starting massage, temperature of the source 7 of infrared radiation shall be set to 37-38 0 C and the heater shall be switched on. Luminescent lamps 8 shall be also switched on. Patient shall be positioned on the table, on the amber layer 6, consisting of plates of amber containing algae, and the massage shall be carried out. The amber exposed to electromagnetic waves of infrared radiation and to light, radiates a pleasant yellow light and a pleasant smell, and emits ions which, together with electromagnetic waves of infrared radiation and visible light, also with electromagnetic waves emitted by human body, strengthened by the simultaneously carried out massage, stimulates flow of energy over human energetic channels and also stimulates activity of energetic centres of the body, transmission of nervous pulses, activity of hormonal glands and cells, material exchange among cell membranes, at the same time stimulating metabolism and improving personal comfort.

The table can also be used as additional measure for therapy of some simple disorders and for strengthening of health.
