Provided is a picking assistance device which minimizes danger to workers during picking work. This picking assistance device (130) is configured so as to be capable of communication with a server (120), which has information (122) of an item to be picked and movement information (124) for a worker to move to a storage place where the item is stored. This picking assistance device (130) comprises: a display (140); a control unit (150) for controlling the display contents of the display; and a determination unit for determining whether or not the worker has reached the storage place shown by the movement information. The control unit (150), upon receiving the movement information (124) from the server (120), displays the movement information (124) on the display (140), and displays the item information (122) received from the server (120) on the display (140) in response to the determination by the determination unit that the worker has reached the storage place (10) shown by the movement information (124).
