Abstract:

In this picking and sorting system, a controller creates a picking schedule, corresponding to a single batch for picking from an article rack to a bucket, on the basis of the volume of the bucket; and if any articles that have been loaded into the bucket by a picking schedule for a single batch remains in the tray after sorting, a warehouse controller moves the in-process tray using a transportation vehicle from a work shelf to a third tray storage space.
