Abstract:
A picture reduction method and device, for use in resolving the technical problem of a low accuracy rate caused by high complexity of a current picture reduction algorithm in the case that current picture reduction is focused on spatial features. The picture reduction method comprises: calculating, according to the size of an input picture of a picture, a reduction factor of the size of an output picture to be outputted (101); determining the reduction factor n (102); if the reduction factor n is greater than 2 and less than 3, or the reduction factor is greater than 3 and less than 4, sequentially performing picture mean value reduction processing, picture edge enhancement processing, and picture bilinear reduction processing on the picture (103); if the reduction factor n is an integer multiple, sequentially performing picture mean value reduction processing and picture edge enhancement processing on the picture (104); if the reduction factor n is greater than 1 and less than 2, performing picture bilinear reduction processing on the picture (105); and outputting the processed picture (106).
