Abstract:
When forming a hole on a work having a plurality of forming areas formed with different materials, two or more process target layers on which a hole is to be formed can be automatically determined on the basis of a load torque acting on a drill, and piercing under the conditions set for respective process target layers can be easier and more efficient. Disclosed is a piercing device for forming a hole (70) on a work (50) having forming layers (51 to 56) sectioned using different materials, wherein a process target determination means determines the sequence in which the process target layers (51a to 56a) are pierced on the basis of the start of piercing and the change of load torque acting on the drill (4); a process condition determination means determines a set processing rotation speed and a set processing advancing speed corresponding to the forming material of each of the process target layers (51a to 56a); and a drive control means controls a main axis motor and a feed motor so that the drill (4) forms the hole (70) at the set processing rotation speed and the set processing advancing speed.
