Abstract:
Provided is a piezoelectric actuator that is provided with a piezoelectric element (13) for generating a drive force necessary for operation of a valve (12), which is an effector, in the form of displacement, a displacement expanding mechanism (14) that includes at least a spring element for making the displacement of the piezoelectric element (13) act on the valve (12), and a drive means (15) for operating the valve (12) by applying voltage to the piezoelectric element (13) and extending the piezoelectric element (13), wherein the drive means (15) is provided with a first filter processing unit (15x) having inverse function characteristics for the mechanical resonant frequency when the displacement expanding mechanism (14) is operated, and is constituted so as to apply a voltage for damping the mechanical resonance to the piezoelectric element (13) via the resonance suppression processing unit (15x).
