Abstract:
A piezoelectric body is disclosed which is improved in piezoelectric properties in a broader band region and is useful as a sensor, an actuator, an ultrasonic transducer, and so forth. The piezoelectric body comprises characteristically (a) a structure of an alternate laminate of a layer of an organo onium (G) and a layer of an inorganic phase (MX4), represented by the general formula below; and an inorganic phase (MX4) laminated alternately in layers, or (b) a composite composed of aggregate particles of a graphene structure and perovskite structure of an average particle size of not more than 200 nm: General formula: G2MX4 (where G denotes an organo onium, M denotes any of IV group elements and transition metals, and X denotes any of Cl, Br, and I.)
