Abstract:
[Problem]
To provide a piezoelectric element for which the strong manifestation of piezoelectric resonance at a specific frequency can be suppressed, thereby improving the sound quality of an acoustic generator, and to provide an acoustic generator equipped with this piezoelectric element, an acoustic generation device, and an electronic device.
[Solution]
A piezoelectric element 1 according to the present embodiment is a rectangular plate-shaped piezoelectric element having a length direction and a width direction, wherein first internal electrode layers 11 and second internal electrode layers 12 are alternately stacked so as to oppose one another with a piezoelectric layer 13 therebetween. In addition, when viewed from the stacking direction the second internal electrode layers 12 are provided so as to have a gap 120 in at least a portion of the interval between both side surfaces in the width direction, and when the entire area of the gap 120 is viewed, there is a portion where the distance between the second internal electrode layers 12 and the side surfaces differs.
