Abstract:
Provided is a non-lead-type piezoelectric material in which the dissipation factor is minimized and both a favorable piezoelectric constant and a favorable mechanical quality factor are obtained. This piezoelectric material is characterized in having an Mn component and a main component composed of Perovskite-type metal oxide represented by general formula (1): Nax + s(1-y)(BiwBa1-s-w)1-yNbyTi1-yO3 (where 0.84 ≤ x ≤ 0.92, 0.84 ≤ y ≤ 0.92, 0.002 ≤ (w + s)(1-y) ≤ 0.035, 0.9 ≤ w/s ≤ 1.1), the amount of Mn contained being 0.01-1.00 mol% in relation to that of the Perovskite-type metal oxide.
