Abstract:
Provided is a piezoelectric oscillator manufacturing method for manufacturing a piezoelectric oscillator, in which a piezoelectric oscillating reed is sealed in a cavity formed between a base substrate and a lid substrate jointed to each other. The manufacturing method comprises a step for inserting such a core portion of an electrically conductive rivet having a plate-shaped head portion as extends along a direction normal to the surface of the head portion, into a through hole of the base substrate, thereby bringing the head portion of the rivet into abutment against a first face of the base substrate, a step for adhering a laminate member having elasticity to cover the head portion, to the first face of the base substrate, a step of applying pasty glass frit to a second face of the base substrate thereby filling the glass frit in the through hole, and a step for sintering and hardening the glass frit.
