Abstract:

Provided is a piezoelectric power generating device which does not easily generate cracks in a piezoelectric plate and has high durability. A piezoelectric power generating device (1) is provided with a supporting body (10), a piezoelectric element (20), and a bias compression stress applying member (30). The piezoelectric element (20) is arranged on the supporting body (10). The piezoelectric element (20) has a piezoelectric plate (21) polarized in the thickness direction, and first and second electrodes (22, 23) arranged on a surface of the piezoelectric plate (21). The bias compression stress applying member (30) is supported by the supporting body (10) on the upper side of the piezoelectric element (20). The bias compression stress applying member (30) applies bias compression stress in the thickness direction of the piezoelectric plate (21) to the piezoelectric element (20) so that the level of the compression stress in the piezoelectric plate (21) changes due to a change of stress applied from the external.
