Abstract:

This piezoelectric vibrator comprises a tuning-fork piezoelectric vibrating reed including a pair of vibrating arms, a package for housing the piezoelectric vibrating reed, and getter members formed along the length direction of the vibrating arms in the package. The cross-sectional area of an intermediate portion of the getter member adjacent to the center in the length direction of the vibrating member is larger than the cross-sectional area of an end portion of the getter member.
