Title:
PIEZOELECTRIC VIBRATOR FOR VIBRATION WAVE MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/123819
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A vibrator made of non-lead-based piezoelectric material is disclosed, capable of being driven at sufficient speed with low power consumption, particularly for vibration wave motors, which includes a piezoelectric element (101) comprising a piezoelectric material (3) with electrodes (1, 2) and an elastic body (5), wherein less than 1000 ppm of a Pb component is contained in the piezoelectric material, and vibration modes A and B, having resonance frequencies fA and fB, generating vibration waves in the elastic body with wave fronts intersecting each other, satisfy |fB - fA| > 2 kHz, preferably a (Ba,Ca)(Ti,Zr)O3 based rectangular vibrator with two out-of-plane bending modes having perpendicular nodal lines.
